"Active driveway" scrawled in red,
Car blocks still, unmoved.

"No pee, no poo" reads,
A sign by wilted flowers,
Stained by defiance.

Hooded man holds doors,
“No loitering” sign whispers,
Kindness waits outside.

"No dumping," it warns,
Yet the mattress makes its claim,
